Components in MAYA and their UV maps and Hi-Res Scout Head WIP

To better get to grips with UV mapping and texturing, I've taken it on myself to model small components form the game, things that won't take so long to model and texture but will help me practice mapping, cutting and sew UVs and texturing. So here are some.

Food Vendor Mesh

Drinks Vendor Mesh

Sandwich pack Mesh (Thats right... sandwich pack!)

Ever Exciting Magazine mesh

Sweets Packet mesh (yep... sweet packet)

Chocolate bar mesh (complete with testing texture)

Old fashioned book mesh

All very helpful for getting my head round the texturing process.

I've also been "sketching" character busts in ZBrush, not intended for ingame at all or for texturing... but as a way of portraying what a certain character will look like (hopefully). 

Heres my favourite so far, the Kerne Scout... needs tweeking in areas but over all very happy.

BOOSH!!! Have a good read, this is version 1 of the bible... it is ever expanding and evident loop holes filled in and what have you. I recommend having a full read of the bible SONIA before continuing to look over my work on it.
